Privacy policy

We built this site to need as little of your data as possible. Here is everything, in plain language.

What we collect, and why

  • Nothing, if you just read. This site sets no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies. If we enable visitor counting, we use a cookieless counter that cannot identify you.
  • Your email, if you subscribe. Our newsletter runs on Beehiiv, which stores your address to deliver it. We use it for the newsletter only, never sell or share it, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
  • What you tell us, if you ask for help. Help requests (via our form, run by Tally, or by email) contain what you choose to share, which may include health information. We use it only to help you, share it only with clinics you approve in writing, and delete it on request.

What we never do

  • We never sell your personal information.
  • We never share health information with advertising platforms — not now, not ever.
  • We never use your story or data for research without asking you separately, in plain words, with the right to say no and to change your mind later.

Who processes data for us

Hostinger (website hosting), Beehiiv (newsletter), and Tally (forms) process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We chose them for exactly that.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email and a human will do it — usually within a week.

Cancer Clues is operated from the United States. [Company name and state to be inserted upon formation.] If you are in the EU/UK, note that our services are currently offered to US residents.
